Parker Staunton Chess Set in Burnt Boxwood & Boxwood - 3.75" King

From our Staunton by Design Collection, our Decorative Parker Staunton in burnt boxwood and boxwood offers a traditional Staunton chess set with a unique design and finish. It has a classic style with handsome knights that have the look and feel of the older Jaques designs. To create the black, chess pieces are actually burnt followed by the final carving and design work which creates a beautiful contrast in colors between the blackened areas and the natural golden wood colors underneath. Chess pieces are then finished in high gloss lacquer giving the chess pieces a glass-like finish. A wonderful set for a casual game of chess or tournament play. (*Does Not Include Chess Board).

Once I had set my eyes on these pieces on the chess store website, I could not resist ordering them. What drew me to this product was that these were the most exquisitely ornate wooden pieces that I had ever seen. The price was a lot lower than I expected so I bought them immediately.
